Michael B. Jordan‘s new age adaptation of The Thomas Crown Affair has been riddled with some controversy right from the beginning. In July 2025, fans learned that Taylor Russell left the project after alleged creative differences with Jordan, who is also directing the movie. Different sources had different stories about why Russell actually left.

Now, another user has claimed on Instagram that the movie’s costumes were bought off the rack from Bottega. The user claimed that there will be no stylish costuming moments in this movie. The previous adaptations, starring Steve McQueen in 1963 and Pierce Brosnan in 1999, were known for their stylish costuming.
