Short North Stage to perform ‘Come From Away’
The true tale of 7,000 passengers – including a woman from Dublin, Ohio – stranded in a small Newfoundland town after 9/11 opens with a pay-what-you-want preview at 7 p.m. Jan. 22 on Garden Theatre MainStage, 1187 N. High St.

Rising sax star to play in Wex jazz series
Saxophonist and composer Immanuel Wilkins will present his Grammy-nominated album, “Blues Blood,” with guest vocalists and a quartet that includes Columbus native and pianist Micah Thomas.
The 28-year-old Juilliard-educated musician has worked with a wide range of artists including Solange Knowles, Wynton Marsalis, vocalist Gretchen Parlato, vibraphonist Joel Ross, and jazz pianists Gerald Clayton and Aaron Parks.

Symphony to present reimagined ‘Requiem’
Conducted by Rossen Milanov, the Columbus Symphony will play Mozart’s unfinished masterpiece, “Requiem in D Minor,” reconceptualized with a contemporary twist by American composer Gregory Spears.

Christian musicians to jam at the Schott
The Winter Jam 2026 Tour will bring an all-star lineup and a renewed mission to unite fans through powerful music at 6 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Schottenstein Center, 555 Borror Drive.
Considered the largest annual tour in Christian music, Winter Jam will feature Chris Tomlin, Matthew West, Katy Nichole, Hulvey, Disciple, Emerson Day, and NewSong, the founders and producers of the event. Speaker Zane Black will also appear.
Come early and enjoy a 5 p.m. preshow by Jeremy Rosado, the Heath Brothers and Cliff Preston.

Comedians to face off in ‘Like My Coffee’
Meat Fish Produce Comedy is brewing up its season ender, “Like My Coffee: Cream of the Crop,” which will pit nine comedians against each other for the Champion of Champions title.
The contestants, winners of “Like My Coffee” shows in 2025, will go toe to toe to determine who has the raunchiest, silliest jokes in central Ohio. Host J.D. Lowe will score the comics based on audience reactions.

‘Les Mis’ to begin 8-show run at Ohio Theatre
One of modern theater’s most beloved musicals – and the sixth longest-running Broadway production of all time – is coming to the Ohio Theatre, 39 E. State St.
Set in 19th century France, the Tony-winning “Les Misérables” follows convict Jean Valjean and his desire for redemption in this captivating story of shattered dreams and unrequited love, sacrifice, justice, and survival of the human spirit.
Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s score includes the classic songs “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” “Bring Him Home,” and “Do You Hear the People Sing?”
