Arctic Monkeys are very much back with Opening Night, the first single lifted from War Child Records’ upcoming HELP (2) compilation, released March 6.
On the track, Arctic Monkeys say: “When James Ford called and asked if we’d contribute to the HELP(2) album we set to work on a song idea and assembled in Abbey Road to record it. We are proud to support the invaluable work War Child do and hope the record will make a positive difference to the lives of children affected by war.”
Directioners, assemble! This week sees huge releases from One Direction stars Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. Harry returns with Aperture, the first single lifted from his upcoming fourth solo studio album KISS ALL THE TIME. DISCO, OCCASIONALLY., while Louis drops Imposter, the focus track from his third LP How Did I Get Here?, released this week.
Should fans back the boys, could we see our first-ever solo 1D chart double, with Aperture or Imposter atop the Official Singles Chart and Louis replicating Faith In The Future‘s success with another Official Albums Chart-topper?
Fun fact – as a band, One Direction managed the same feat back in November 2012, when Little Things and its parent album Take Me Home topped the charts simultaneously.
The Beach Boys will be releasing We Gotta Groove – 2025 Mix after the exciting news was announced today that they will be dropping their lost experimental album Adult/Child after almost 50 years on Friday 13 February.
Elsewhere, Jessie Ware is back with brand-new cut I Could Get Used To This, which serves as the first taste of the pop queen’s upcoming sixth studio album.
Wings of Desire kick off a year-long project of releasing a new single for every new moon of 2026 with Whisper, Irish, London-based experimental pop auteur Balderdasch drops Homoerotic and Irish alt-folk group Madra Salach serve up The Man Who Seeks Pleasure alongside their debut EP.
This week also sees big new releases from Holly Humberstone (To Love Somebody), Newcastle-born singer-songwriter Heidi Curtis (Siren), Irish newcomers Burglar (Lovey), Bristol quartet The New Cut (London, Out There) and rising Irish rocker Mark Daly (In The Dark).

MIKA marks his return with seventh studio album Hyperlove, a record which, in his words, describes “the electricity that jumps between the plus and minus of a charge…hyper-love and hyper-living are about embracing that euphoria that helps you make sense of the world around you.” It comes ahead of his upcoming Spinning Out Tour, which kicks off February 6 before arriving in the UK on February 11.
American thrash metal outfit Megadeth unveil their seventeenth, and final, project in the form of their self-titled record. It’s delivered alongside focus track Puppet Parade, a song about “about a person who has a dead-end job, a dead-end relationship, a dead-end life.” Happy Friday!
We also see new releases from the likes of French DJ-producer fella Gesaffelstein (Enter The Gamma (Live)), Jason Derulo (The Last Dance (Part 1)), Americana icon Lucinda Williams (World’s Gone Wrong) and Cat Power (Redux).
