Strictly Come Dancing stars and their professional dance partners are preparing to take to the dance floor again for the live tour
Strictly Come Dancing’s Vicky Pattison has issued an apology to fans as she admitted that tour rehearsals have been keeping her busy as well as battling with her nerves.
The reality TV star, 38, is currently preparing to join a host of celebrities from the BBC One dancing show on the Strictly Live 2026 tour, which starts at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena today (January 23rd).
As fans will remember, Vicky was amongst the early contenders to claim the Strictly Glitterball Trophy when she entered the 2025 series with 14 other well-known personalities, paired with professional dancer Kai Widdrington.
Nevertheless, their time on the programme ended unexpectedly during week eight when their Jive disappointed the judging panel.
Despite this disappointment, Vicky’s dancing journey carries on and it’s clear rehearsals have been taking over her life. The former Geordie Shore star took to her Instagram Stories and shared an update with her fans ahead of her dance floor return.

She shared a snap posing in the mirror, in what looks to be her changing room backstage. She can be seen wearing a black matching gym set.
Alongside the picture, she wrote: “Sorry I’ve been quit, we’ve been working super hard trying to make @Strictlycomedancinglive the best possible show EVER!!!.”
Vicky continued: “And obviously you know I’ve been nervous girly anyway so I’ve been dealing with that abit. Love you all loads and can’t wait to see you all tomorrow.”
It comes after she posted clips of herself and Kai practising their top-scoring Tango to Taylor Swift’s Ophelia. “A little bit rusty but it felt SO good to be back on that floor…” the former I’m A Celebrity champion admitted.
She continued: “I never thought I’d fall in love with dancing the way I did… and don’t get me wrong, the thought of performing infront of thousands STILL terrifies me.
“But with this lovely fella holding my hand, I’m sure I’ll be able to get through anything! ! ! I am so bloody grateful to @strictlycomedancinglive for this opportunity… what a gorgeous way to end, what has been one of the most special experiences of my life! ! ! See you all soon.”
Vicky later shared a post from the Strictly Come Dancing Live team on Instagram, expressing her excitement for the forthcoming performances.
She gushed: “I had an incredible couple of months on Strictly! Now I’m buzzing like an old fridge that I get to continue this amazing experience and put my dancing shoes back on for the Strictly Live tour at arenas all over the country – including my hometown of Newcastle!”
