A visit with hosts of ‘New England Legends’ podcast
A visit with hosts of ‘New England Legends’ podcast hosts Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger Oct. 3 at the podcast studio in Auger’s Milford basement.
A ghoulishly delightful event is returning to Milford.
The annual “Freak Formal,” hosted by the creators of the New England Legends podcast, is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, at the DoubleTree Boston-Milford Hotel, 11 Beaver St., Milford, according to a community announcement.
The event promises a night of monsters, ghosts, zombies, dancing, games, raffle prizes and a pizza party, all in the spirit of raising funds for Project Just Because, a Hopkinton-based charity that provides basic necessities to families in need, according to the announcement.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/freak-formal-event-presented-by-new-england-legends-tickets-1980103869978.
The Freak Formal, formerly known as the “Zombie Prom,” is an alternative celebration for those looking to escape the clichés of Valentine’s Day. Attendees are encouraged to dress as any weird character they like, or simply attend to watch the spectacle, according to the announcement.
Best costumes will be crowned King and Queen of the Freaks.
“We look forward to this parade of the macabre all year long,” said Jeff Belanger, author and co-host of the New England Legends podcast, in a statement. “We decided to rename it the Freak Formal to cast the horror net a little wider.”
