Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor snubbed Princess Eugenie‘s 11th birthday celebrations and stayed at Jeffrey Epstein’s house instead, a royal author has claimed. Royal author Andrew Lownie has given a searing account of Andrew’s hedonistic life in his tell-all Entitled, with him having spent four years researching the disgraced royal.
According to Lownie, Andrew opted to extend his stay at the late sex offender’s home in Florida rather than return for his youngest daughter’s birthday. Pictures previously showed Princess Eugenie standing in front of the Disneyland Paris castle alongside Princess Beatrice and their mother, Sarah Ferguson.
Many onlookers questioned as to why Andrew did not join his two daughters and his ex-wife – whom he had split from in 1992 – for the special occasion.
He also expressed that Sarah had shared concerns over Andrew’s friendship with both Ghislaine and Jeffrey.
According to a friend of Sarah, Mr Lownie wrote: “Fergie and a lot of other people who love Andrew believe that this friendship with Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein has become really dangerous.” He added that Sarah held a feeling of “jealousy that she had lost her influence over Andrew”.
She also, according to the author, expressed “growing concern about the company her ex-husband was keeping and how it was impacting her own reputation – and money-making opportunities in America”.
Citing one of Sarah’s friends, she also expressed concern that Ghislaine and Jeffrey were “using [Andrew] for his name and access”. They added: “He is so innocent and naive that he doesn’t realise they have ulterior motives”.
Andrew is reportedly thought to moving out of his 30-room mansion, Royal Lodge, today.
It was also reported last week that Eugenie, 35, has refused to speak to Andrew and also did not visit him at Christmas with her family – including her two young sons.
A source told the Mail on Sunday last week: “There is no contact at all, nothing. It’s Brooklyn Beckham level – she has completely cut him off.”
