Billie Eilish has slammed fellow celebrities for not using their voices and platforms to speak out against Immigrations and Customs Enforcement in the US.

It comes after a number of killings of civilians by ICE agents in Minneapolis in recent weeks, starting with Renee Good and then Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old nurse who was shot dead on January 24th.

As such, there has been widespread outrage and condemnation of the events in the state, with many prominent celebrities, including Eilish, using their platforms to speak out against the actions of ICE.

However, the singer has now taken her support a step further by not only sharing a series of posts about the killings, but also imploring other stars to use their voices and not remain silent on the matter.

Posting a selfie to her Instagram Stories on January 25th amid a number of other political posts, Eilish said: “Hey my fellow celebrities, you gonna speak up? Or,” taking aim at the mass number of stars who have thus far stayed silent with respect to ICE.

The singer has been a prominent voice in speaking out against ICE over the course of recent weeks. On January 17th, she was awarded the ‘2026 MLK Jr Beloved Community Environmental Justice Award presented by the King Center’ at a ceremony in Atlanta, and used her speech to hit out at Donald Trump’s administration.

Eilish powerfully said at the time: “We’re seeing our neighbours being kidnapped, peaceful protesters being assaulted and murdered, our civil rights being stripped, resources to fight the climate crisis being cut for fossil fuels and animal agriculture destroying our planet, and people’s access to food and healthcare becoming a privilege for the wealthy instead of a new basic human right for all Americans.”

In relation to the killing of Good, the singer found herself being blasted by the Department of Homeland Security for branding ICE a “terrorist group”.
