Sarah, who previously worked as the Channel 5 President and UK Regional Lead at Paramount, described her feelings for joining the royal couple’s team as being filled with “awe, excitement and a fresh energy”. She also reflected on her career transition, noting that it was “time for something completely different.”
Sharing when she will join the team, she added that she will “take up the reins of The Royal Foundation in February”.
Her statement on LinkedIn also added: “I am not a big poster on LinkedIn but I will use this platform going forward to shine a light on some of the remarkable initiatives the Foundation is working on for the Prince and Princess of Wales.”
She can also be seen changing her name from Sarah Rose, explaining: “And while I’m embracing change and joining a new network, I am completing this rebrand of sorts by updating my name.
“Rose was not my maiden name, so it’s time to become a Henwood, like my husband and children. So you will find me as Sarah Henwood once I start the new role.
“It will take me a while to get used to, but it feels the right time to be making the change. Next episode starts in one week.”
William and Catherine have also added another recruit to their team in the past few weeks.
Liza Ravescroft, recruited from the blue-chip communications firm Edelman, will join the team and work on day-to-day press interaction.
It is reported that Ms Ravenscroft has been recommended by Julian Payne, a former communications secretary to King Charles and Queen Camilla and the current CEO of Edelman.
