Disney on Ice, Players Championship coming to Jacksonville in 2026
Here are a few of the big events coming to Jacksonville, Florida, in 2026.
Don’t look now, but January is almost gone. But it’s not ready to check out quite yet, at least not before one more handful of fun events. Concerts, comedy and contortionists are coming to the Jacksonville area, along with a trio of faux acts that look and sound so authentic, you’d swear you were at a Rush, Supremes or Elton John concert.
Mike Mattison & Trash Magic
7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at the Albatross. $32.
Mike Mattison has pretty deep Jacksonville roots, considering he’s from Minnesota; he’s been the singer with the Jacksonville-based Derek Trucks Band and Tedeschi Trucks Band since 2002. He’s bringing his side project to the Bay Street club to promote a new album, “Turn a Midnight Corner.” Info: blacksunshinebooking.com
Legends of Laughter
8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at the Moran Theater. $81-$160.
Sommore, Earthquake, Lavell Crawford and Kier “Junior” Spates bring the laughs in a rare quadruple-bill of top-notch comedians. Info: jaxevents.com
Tattoo Festival
Jan. 30-Feb. 1 at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. $20.
Tattoo artists, sideshow performers and everything you need to make your ink stand out. The event also includes contortionists, suspension artists and sideshows. Doors open at 2 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Info: villainarts.com
Bayker Blankenship
8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. $31-$61.
Bayker Blankenship first picked up a guitar during the 2020 COVID lockdown, but it didn’t take. A few years later, he tried again, and here he is, headlining a national tour at age 21. He doesn’t have a lot of his own music quite yet, so you can expect to hear pretty much all of it, plus a few well-chosen covers. Info: pvconcerthall.com
Tribute acts
Concert tickets are getting really expensive, but soundalike tribute acts are relatively cheap. Check out these tributes this weekend:
- Yellow Brick Road (Elton John tribute), 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at the Florida Theatre. $49.50-$63.50.
- Forever Motown (Motown tribute), 5 and 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. $79-$100.
- Rushfest (Rush tribute), 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Albatross. $21.
