Stan Walker is back with new music.

The Australian-New Zealand singer has released an uplifting new single “One Life”, featuring New Zealand rapper Nauti. The perfect tune for these times when people are searching for meaning, connection and something to believe in, “One Life” offers a reminder of what truly unites us.

Walker co-created the song with Nauti, Bharu, and legendary US producer 9th Wonder, who has worked with the likes of Beyoncé, Lauryn Hill, and Drake.

“’One Life’ is a celebration of humanity, connection, and our shared lived experiences. When we wrote the song, Nauti, Bharu and I came from different places – with different voices, backgrounds and beliefs – but we all came together with one shared purpose: to remind people that we are human first,” Walker said of the song.

“We only have one life, and when we choose empathy, grace and love, our differences don’t separate us – they make us stronger.”

Nauti said he’s always admired Walker’s art, but his generosity and selflessness “really earned my respect”.

“When I sat down with Stan and Bharu at 9th Wonder’s writing camp, we began sharing stories about our individual cultures. That’s when I found out Stan had flown to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. That kōrero set the tone for ‘One Life’,” he explained.

“I think most creatives know when art flows effortlessly with purpose, it’s meant to be. 9th said, ‘The biggest ego in the room is the music’, and that really stayed with me throughout this collaboration. It’s time to represent and shine light in these dark times around the world.”

Stan Walker is no stranger to the Australian public with close to two decades experience as an artist achieving four Top 10 ARIA charting albums and six ARIA Top 30 singles. He has won 16 NZ Music Awards and played to tens of thousands of people every year selling out shows across NZ, Hawai’i, USA, Canada, and more.

He is a proud cultural leader and storyteller who for the past many years has dedicated himself to deepening the connection with his cultural identity, reclaiming his life and health, and weaving this journey of reclamation into his artistic expression.

Stan Walker’s “One Life” featuring Nauti is out now.
