Pierfrancesco Favino
Award-winning Italian actor and producer Pierfrancesco Favino has starred in multiple television programmes in his native Italy but is perhaps more widely-known internationally for appearing in cinematic blockbusters including World War Z (2013), Angels & Demons (2009), and Maria (2024), and will perform at the Opening Ceremony alongside violinist Giovanni Zanon.
A fervent sports fan, Favino is a lifelong supporter of AS Roma as well as tennis ace Jannik Sinner.
Speaking recently to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he said: “On set you no longer hear people asking between breaks whether Roma have scored or how much time is left, but also: is Sinner playing? He and all the other Italian men and women are making us experience a moment more magical than ever.”
