So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
ARLO PARKS – “HEAVEN”
Arlo Parks is back with another single from the upcoming album Ambiguous Desire. ““Heaven is about euphoria, community and staying present,” says Arlo about this ethereal, danceable track. “Being in a room full of strangers sweating, connecting, losing and finding themselves is a kind of magic that’s beyond language. PETER GABRIEL – “PUT THE BUCKET DOWN” (BRIGHT SIDE MIX)
What sounds like a direct continuation of his 2024 i/o album, Peter Gabriel will spend 2026 releasing songs from new album o\i on the full moon of each month, with “Bright Side” and “Dark Side” versions of each. He says “I have been thinking about the future and how we might respond to it. We are sliding into a period of transition like no other, most likely triggered in three waves; AI, quantum computing and the brain computer interface. Artists have a role to look into the mists and, when they catch sight of something, to hold up a mirror. These are my lumpy bits –i/o: the inside has a new way out and o\i: the outside has a new way in.” Here’s the Bright Side Mix of February’s offering.

PULP – “THE DAY BEFORE YOU CAME” (ABBA COVER)
Pulp have always had a little ABBA in them — songs like “I Spy” and “Acrylic Afternoons” are indebted to the sweep, pulse and melancholy of the Swedish pop sensations’ most nuanced creations. So it’s less a surprise that they’ve now covered ABBA but it’s taken them this long. They turn this 1982 ABBA single basically into a Pulp song.
