As winter quarter continues, Cal Poly is hosting a variety of arts events throughout February, featuring music, dance and live performances from both touring artists and campus programs.

Feb. 4

The month begins with trumpeter and vocalist Keyon Harrold, who performs Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Alex and Faye Spanos Theatre. Harrold’s music blends jazz, soul, hip-hop and Afrobeat, creating a high-energy performance that spans a wide range of styles.

Feb. 12

On Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m., The String Queens perform at Harold Miossi Hall with an “in the round” concert that mixes classical strings with pop and contemporary music.

Feb. 19

Later in the month, DakhaBrakha takes the stage at Harold Miossi Hall Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m., combining traditional Ukrainian folk music with global influences in a performance known for its unique sound and theatrical elements.

Feb. 25

Patti LuPone: Matters of the Heart will blend contemporary and Broadway music on Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Harold Miossi Hall in the Performing Arts Center (PAC).

Feb. 26

Actor and former White House official Kal Penn on Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m., who will share stories from his career in entertainment and public service in the PAC.

Feb. 28

The month concludes with mandolinist Chris Thile performing Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m., blending classical and folk music.

In addition to these touring shows, Cal Poly and local venues will host ballet, symphony and student-led music performances throughout the month.
