Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has moved out of Royal Lodge amid growing questions over his links to Jeffrey Epstein.
Mr Mountbatten-Windsor is said to have left his Crown Estate home to move to Sandringham.
He is now expected to stay at Wood Farm, part of the King’s private estate, indefinitely while he waits for renovations to Marsh Farm, intended as his new permanent home, to be completed.
The former prince had been expected to move “before Easter”, with his departure apparently hastened in recent days.
The Sun reported that the King had become “increasingly concerned” about the extent of his brother’s inclusion in the Epstein documents.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has not fully moved out of Royal Lodge, it is understood, and may be seen on the Windsor Estate in the coming weeks as he finishes packing.
But he will be based at Sandringham and will move into his permanent new home at Marsh Farm later this year.
The Sandringham Estate is privately owned by the King and he will pay the costs of his brother’s new home.
