Check out the best new music from Aotearoa acts released between January 26th-February 1st below!

Yumi Zouma – No Love Lost to Kindness

The indie rock quartet have unveiled their fifth studio album, No Love Lost to Kindness. Following 2022’s critically acclaimed Present Tense and 2023’s EP IV, they channel their collective experiences and widening sonic influences into a thrilling new chapter, one that feels bolder, heavier, and more emotionally exposed than ever before.

Stan Walker (ft. Nauti) – “One Life”

The perfect tune for these times when people are searching for meaning, connection and something to believe in, Stan Walker’s “One Life”, featuring Kiwi rapper Nauti, offers a reminder of what truly unites us. “We only have one life, and when we choose empathy, grace and love, our differences don’t separate us – they make us stronger,” he says of the song.

Club Ruby – Don’t Gaslight Me!

The second EP from Club Ruby, Don’t Gaslight Me! finds the pop-punk group taking back their lives, creating boundaries, and redefining identity on their own terms. The six-track collection centres around the stages of grief, and understanding “the world isn’t fair.”

Earth Tongue – “Silver Eye”

Earth Tongue’s “Silver Eye” is the third taste of their forthcoming album Dungeon Vision, out February 13th. Tracked live to tape, Dungeon Vision pulses with human energy, fuzz guitars, bone-battering drums, and hauntingly tuneful vocals.

Sanoi – “Count It”

Musically, “Count It” stands out as one of Sanoi’s most unexpected productions to date. The track draws clear influence from the mid-2000s LA beats scene, echoing the era’s loose swing, raw rhythmic sensibility, and experimental edge. It is the latest single from Sanoi’s upcoming album Augenblick, out February 20th.

PRINS – “Designer”

In keeping with the PRINS modus operandi, “Designer” is a sleek pop-dance track, with a dark edge and a sensual undercurrent. It’s bold, confident and driven by a club ready pulse and polished pop hooks. “It’s about stepping into your worth and not playing small for anyone,” says PRINS.

Psycho Gab – “Compass”

Fine purveyors of neo-soul Psycho Gab have released a warm and summery new single. Laden with smooth grooves and lush melodies, the single — much like earlier releases from the five-piece — ruminates on a plethora of deeply personal themes but with a new-found assuredness and depth.

Muroki – Amber Skies

The debut album from Muroki was written and recorded as he lived a nomadic lifestyle moving between Berlin’s creative underground, the hills of Raglan, the coastline of Portugal, and a long overdue reunion with whānau in Kenya. At the centre is his drive for freedom and new experiences.

Hyan – Board Shorts EP

A sun-soaked, high-energy release, Hyan’s new Board Shorts EP channels carefree summer nostalgia through punchy club rhythms and playful electronic textures.

Casual Healing – “Tell the Truth”

Casual Healing’s “Tell the Truth” is the second single from his final of four EPs embodying the elements. Ahi (fire), Hau (wind), Wai (water) and completing the ambitious cycle, One (earth) in March 2026 are inspired by Te Taiao — the natural world. Born from the guilt of telling a lie, this song was written in the hopes of encouraging the truth in our lives.

Sidewinder – “Feed the Beast”

“Feed the Beast” is Sidewinder’s most formidable, swagger-drenched, speaker-rattling statement to date, ahead of the release of their new album Dominion. Produced by Tiny Triumph Records and mastered by Will Borza (Deftones, Smashing Pumpkins), “Feed the Beast” captures Sidewinder at full power, blending bone-dry stoner-doom swagger with a swamp-soaked sound that is unmistakably their own.
