Meghan Markle faced backlash from followers after her recent As Ever promotional campaign appeared to contain a design flaw.
In a post on As Ever’s Instagram account, Meghan said: “A sweet surprise! Shop the Limited Edition Sweetheart Bundle featuring our Signature As Ever x @compartes Chocolate Collection paired with our Raspberry and Strawberry Spreads in Keepsake Packaging – just in time for Valentine’s Day. A gift for yourself, or the one you love.”
The post included a fresh image of the Duchess clutching a bouquet of balloons, alongside a second image displaying the newest release. However, followers were swift to observe that the text was misaligned in the second picture and encouraged the Duchess to hire a new graphic designer.
A user posted on X: “Meghan Markle SERIOUSLY needs to hire a copy editor and a graphic designer.
“Not only is the general design horrific, but the text is off-centre [face palm emoji].” Another one concurred: “As someone who has spent some 30 yrs in the photography business, mostly product and commercial, yes this su***. Royally, I might add.”
A third user commented: “It’s not only off-centre, but it’s also asymmetrical too. Product placements have no base.”
A fourth one remarked: “Ugh…I wish that she had bracketed the right-hand side with the candle and put the spread inside the candle… centre the words…” A fifth critic exclaimed: “It’s worse than amateurish!”.
Meghan has already launched a set of three jars, her limited edition chocolates, and a Valentine’s Edit package for February 14.
