Six days into Savannah Guthrie’s mom’s disappearance, Harvey Levin is breaking down the allegedly “very detailed” ransom note sent — including a possible clue as to Nancy Guthrie’s alleged captor’s location.
The TMZ founder appeared on celebrity.land Thursday after the first deadline mentioned in the alleged ransom note passed.
The 75-year-old noted that “there is a radius around Tucson, [Ariz.], that they kind of disclose in this demand letter,” which his team was emailed on Thursday.
“There are real reasons, based on what’s written there, that I believe that this person is in the radius of the Tucson area,” he insisted. “Authorities … have a radius, and that’s something.”
However, he clarified, “As far as we can tell, it’s impossible to trace the origin of this email.”
Nancy, notably, was reported as missing from her Tucson residence on Sunday, with her three kids — Savannah, Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie — begging her potential kidnappers for proof of life in an emotional video three days later.
Levin claimed that the alleged note referred to Nancy as “OK but scared” and “aware of the letter and the demands” made for millions in Bitcoin.
“It specifically says there will be no further communication … no negotiation, no communication,” he continued, noting that the message insisted “police [would] be no help.”
Levin speculated that the writer “mean[t] business,” labeling it “very specific, well-organized [and] layered.”
He claimed the letter was not “thrown together” by a “crazy person” and was not crafted by artificial intelligence.
Without going into specifics, he called the second deadline on Monday a “far more consequential” one.
When FBI special agent Heath Yorke spoke about the alleged ransom note during Thursday’s press conference, he said it mentioned Nancy’s Apple Watch and a damaged floodlight on her property.
Levin revealed that the Apple Watch detail — the placement of it — had not yet been reported publicly, which could speak to the legitimacy of the letter.
Yorke said on Thursday that they have yet to verify the ransom note is the real deal but are taking it “very serious” regardless.
An arrest has been made regarding another faked ransom note about Nancy’s disappearance.
As the ransom deadline passed Thursday, Savannah’s brother, Camron, issued a second plea to their 84-year-old mom’s alleged kidnappers.
“We want to talk to you, and we are waiting for contact,” he said.
Nancy suffers from a variety of health woes, ranging from cardiac issues to high blood pressure, and is believed to be without her medication, which she urgently needs.
