An untitled, inspirational biopic of NFL player John Tuggle will take the Dec. 25, 2026 spot. The inspirational story stars Superman‘s David Corenswet as John Tuggle, dubbed “Mr. Irrelevant” after being picked last in the 1983 draft by the New York Giants. Jonathan Levine directs a cast that also includes Michael Shannon and Isabel May. Tuggle, who died of cancer in 1986, played for a single season but had a large impact on his team.
As usual, the Christmas corridor is packed this year, with both Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part III set for a week earlier on Dec. 18. Angry Birds 3 hits on Dec. 23, while Robert Eggers’ Werewulf bows Christmas Day, alongside the John Tuggle movie.
