On February 6, source speaking with Us Weekly stated that Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes have ended their relationship for a second time, only a few weeks after announcing their reconciliation.

“Kelsea and Chase have broken up again. It happened just the other day,” said the insider, who added that the singer is “taking it better” than she did the first time things seemingly ended and is “done.”

However, Stokes “still isn’t ready to give up” on their relationship. While she has unfollowed him on Instagram, Stokes still appears to be following his former girlfriend.

TMZ spoke with another source, who said that “the relationship has run its course,” though they did not know why things came to a final end. It was noted that Ballerini attended last weekend’s Grammy Awards solo, where she was nominated for Best Contemporary Country Album.

The former couple were first linked in January 2023 after being seen at the College Football Playoff National Championship in Los Angeles. Their first reported breakup came in September 2025 and then they reconciled a few months later in November.

Both Stokes and Ballerini have commented on their relationship in the past. In December, the country music artist shared her thoughts on love, writing in her Instagram Story, “Messy year for the heart, messy year for the outside coming in, messy year for the way it became an out of our hands portrayal of it. But what I’ll say, and all I really care to share indefinitely with my personal life anymore, is that I really love love. I believe in it, I believe in him, and I believe in breaking patterns.
