Kid Rock has been called a “disgusting human being” after a joke he told on SNL about “underage girls” resurfaced.
However, Kid Rock has found himself back in hot water after an uncomfortable joke made the rounds on social media, during which he said that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen were old enough to pursue. But the twins were 14 years old at the time, while he was 30 and already a father.
“Why is every guy in America waiting for these chicks to turn 18? I mean, you know what I’m saying? If there’s grass on the field, play ball!” the musician remarked on SNL.
The Democratic Party shared a photo of Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, along with a transcript of the joke, with the caption, “The face of the MAGA Halftime Show.”
Numerous people took to social media to respond to the post, with one person writing on X, “SO gross!” and a second person adding, “He is a disgusting human being. It’s no wonder the MAGA base loves him.”
“Shocking. So out of character. Well, he fits in nicely with the rest of them,” a third person sarcastically said.
In May 2024, David Peisner said the All Summer Long singer grew “drunk and belligerent,” even pulling a gun from behind his chair and waving it at him during an interview at Kid Rock’s home.
“And I got a f-king goddamn gun right here if I need it!” the MAGA cheerleader allegedly shouted. “I got them everywhere!”
Additionally, Kid Rock was caught saying a homophobic slur on camera while he was onstage at a Tennessee bar in 2021.
In the footage, he shouted, “You f—ing f—–s with your iPhones out!” and also sang, “You can post this di– right here,” while grabbing his crotch and looking directly at the camera. Following the incident, Kid Rock later defended himself by repeating the same slur in a combative response to the backlash.
Furthermore, recently, a song, “Cool, Daddy, Cool,” featuring Kid Rock, went viral for its lyrics about underage girls. In it, the song says, “Young ladies, young ladies, I like ’em underage, see / Some say that’s statutory (But I say it’s mandatory).”
Responding to the criticism surrounding the resurfaced song, Kid Rock posted a Kobe Bryant quote to Instagram, which said, “Learn to love the hate. Embrace it. Enjoy it. You earned it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and everyone should have one about you. Haters are a good problem to have. Nobody hates the good ones. They hate the great ones.”
