Kaley Cuoco, who famously has a lot of pets, brings some of the dogs to bed with her. Matilda, her 2-year-old daughter, sleeps there, too. But not fiancé Tom Pelphrey.
“He was like, ‘I can’t do this anymore.’ And I’m like, ‘I understand,'” Cuoco said on Monday’s episode of Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast. “So he started sleeping in the guest room.”

While she eventually found it to be a “game changer,” that wasn’t always the case. He brought it up during their couples’ therapy, which she added that they “love.”
“At first, I’m like, ‘What will people think?’ And he’s like, ‘I never see you at night,'” Cuoco continued. “I don’t see him. It’s not our sexy time. We don’t cuddle. We don’t see each other at night. He goes, ‘Why do you care?’ And I sat there, and I went, ‘God, I don’t care.’ And he goes, ‘Let’s try it.'”
It’s turned out well for them, as the alum of The Big Bang Theory and The Flight Attendant called it the “best decision we ever made.”
The trouble is that they have very different sleeping schedules.
“He writes at night. He reads, It’s his quiet time,” Cuoco said. “So he’s up late and wakes up late on a non-working day. We established this from day one. I go to bed early, and I wake up early. We’re totally on different sleeping schedules.”
Cuoco was married twice before, to tennis pro Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2016 and to Karl Cook from 2018 to 2022.

She andTask star Pelphrey announced their engagement in August 2024, after meeting in April 2022 at the premiere of the Netflix crime drama Ozark, in which he costarred. They had been fixed up by their manager.
After they had been dating for a week, she said on Today in 2023, when they heard the name Matilda.
“We looked at each other, and it was like, ‘Would it be crazy to say if we had a baby we’d name her Matilda?'” she recalled. “You know when you first start dating, and you’re so obsessed, and you’re planning your future children. It was that sort of thing.”
