Investigators are asking Nancy Guthrie’s neighbors for help after spotting a “suspicious vehicle” in the weeks before her disappearance.
Police have asked for footage from 9 p.m. and midnight local time on January 11 and between 9.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on January 31, which was the morning before Nancy was kidnapped.
In a statement, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said they are looking for “video footage that includes vehicles, vehicle traffic, people/pedestrians, and anything neighbors deem out of the ordinary or important to our investigation.”
Investigators sent an alert via Neighbors App to users within a 2-mile radius of Nancy’s home. Officials are currently reviewing all video submitted.
Laura Gargano, one of Nancy’s neighbors, told People Magazine she received the request for her Ring doorbell footage. In the request from police, they noted that a “suspicious vehicle” had been spotted in the area, according to the publication.
Authorities also said in a statement they have “recovered several items of evidence, including gloves.” All “viable evidence” is currently being submitted for analysis.
The new update comes after the FBI’s Phoenix office posted on X on February 11 to say they have conducted an “extensive search” of the area surrounding Nancy’s home, including “multiple roadways” in the Catalina Foothills.
Nancy was last seen on the evening of January 31. She was dropped off at her home at around 9.48 p.m. after having dinner with her family.
The 84-year-old, who is the mother of Today Show host Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing by her family on February 1 at noon. Concerns had been raised about Nancy’s whereabouts after she failed to attend a church livestream with friends.
The FBI released surveillance footage from Nancy’s Nest doorbell camera on February 10. The video showed a masked individual outside Nancy’s front door. A gun was visibly tucked in to their waistband.
The person in the video was seen pulling plants up in Nancy’s yard, which they then used to try and hide themselves from view of the camera.
