Director Aditya Dhar has reacted to a fan-made edit inspired by Dhurandhar, praising the creativity at a time when the film continues to enjoy massive success. The movie has created history at the box office, with Akshaye Khanna’s performance emerging as one of its biggest highlights – especially his viral dialogue that has been widely discussed on social media.
One of Akshaye’s lines that became a major social media highlight was, “Rehman Dakait ki di hui maut, badi kasainuma hoti hai” (“The death given by Rehman Dakait is very ‘kasainuma.'”)
Adding to the buzz, director Aditya Dhar recently reacted to a fan-made edit video on X inspired by Rehman Dakait’s style. Clearly impressed by the creativity, he commented, “What a Qasainuma Edit!! Brilliant! Keep it up, brother!!”
Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has broken several records and earned praise for its performances. Akshaye Khanna, in particular, impressed audiences with his dialogue delivery, screen presence and even his dance moves in the viral track FA9LA.
Following the success of the first installment, the makers are now preparing for Dhurandhar 2, scheduled to release in cinemas on March 19. Unlike the original film, which was released only in Hindi, the sequel will arrive in multiple languages – Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The film is written and directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Aditya Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande, and Lokesh Dhar.
The first installment featured an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal, introducing audiences to a high-stakes, two-part espionage saga. The story followed an Indian intelligence operative working undercover in Karachi, navigating criminal networks and political circles to dismantle a terror group threatening India’s security.
Dhurandhar 2 will continue the narrative with Hamza Ali Mazari, an undercover Indian agent who has now firmly embedded himself within Pakistan’s underworld.
