The Miller Center for the Arts at Reading Area Community College has unveiled its 2026 season lineup, featuring a mix of music, comedy, dance, family programming and new free offerings for students.

Running from February through June, the season includes Broadway-themed events, tribute concerts, contemporary dance, stand-up comedy and educational programming, along with a new initiative providing complimentary tickets to Reading Area Community College students.

“This season is what happens when Broadway, National Geographic, stand-up comedy, rock legends, Celtic candlelight, and a band of singing bears all decide to throw a party together, and everyone’s invited,” said Tony DeMarco, Executive Director of the Miller Center of the Arts.

“Honestly, the hardest part is choosing what not to see, which is exactly why we recommend becoming a member and just saying ‘yes’ to everything. This lineup is joyful, bold, and unapologetically fun, just like live performance should be.”

Free student-focused programming

New this season, RACC students will have access to complimentary tickets for select performances, including “Goldie B. Locks and the Three Singing Bears” and “Sing-A-Long Broadway.” Students may also invite friends and family.

In addition, the Miller Center will host a special daytime student performance of National Geographic Live: The Untold Story of Sharks, focused on shark science and conservation.

2026 lineup highlights

The season opens Feb. 20–21 with “Goldie B. Locks & the Three Singing Bears,” a family-friendly opera-inspired retelling of the classic fairy tale, produced in partnership with the Yocum Institute for Arts Education and Berks Opera Company. A dessert reception with cast photo opportunities and family activities will follow the Feb. 20 performance.

On March 5, National Geographic Live: The Untold Story of Sharks explores the work of shark researchers and conservationists, including National Geographic Explorer Jess Cramp.

Musical performances continue March 6 with Sons of Mystro, blending violin with reggae, hip-hop and Afro-Caribbean influences, followed by Yacht Rock Gold Experience on March 12, featuring late 1970s and early 1980s soft rock classics.

Southern rock fans can attend The Artimus Pyle Band: Honoring Ronnie Van Zant’s Lynyrd Skynyrd on March 13. The concert features Artimus Pyle, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and former member of Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Comedian Gary Gulman brings his Misfit Stand Up Tour to the stage March 19. Gulman has released five television specials, including “Born on 3rd Base” and the HBO special “The Great Depresh.”

On March 21, Candlelight Celtic will offer two performances featuring Irish music in a candlelit setting.

Dance returns April 9 with the Parsons Dance Company in “A Night at the Miller Center with Parsons Dance – A Thank You Marlin Miller,” honoring Marlin Miller, founder of the Miller Center. The one-night performance will celebrate Miller’s contributions to the arts in Reading.

Folk-rock musician Roger McGuinn, founder of The Byrds, will perform “Songs and Stories” on April 11, combining music with storytelling.

The season also includes Café Con Boomers with Sara Contreras on April 24, Mamma Mania! — a tribute to ABBA — on May 8, and Britain’s Finest: The Beatles Experience on June 18.

A private event on April 21 will mark the 20th anniversary of the Schmidt Training & Technology Center and feature a Schmidt Speaker Series appearance by Robert Herjavec of “Shark Tank.”

With a variety of genres and programming aimed at audiences of all ages, the 2026 season continues the Miller Center’s role as a cultural venue in Berks County.

“This season is packed with moments you’ll be talking about all year long,” said Megan Schappell, General Manager of the Miller Center of the Arts. “Shows will sell fast, so don’t wait: grab your tickets, bring your friends, and come experience the energy, laughter, and excitement that only live performance can deliver.”

Tickets and memberships are now available. More information is available at millercenter.racc.edu.
