Kid Rock has become well known thanks to his firm friendship with President Donald Trump, but many of their lifestyle choices don’t align.
The duo hit it off when Kid Rock shared his hopes for Trump becoming president back in 2016, with him telling Rolling Stone at the time, “I’m digging Trump. My feeling: let the motherf—— business guy run it like a f——- business. And his campaign has been entertaining as s—.”
From there, the relationship between the pair went from strength to strength as he became a key figure in President Trump’s MAGA movement.
However, outside of their political affiliations, it seems the pair doesn’t have much else in common.
Kid Rock previously opened up about his healthy lifestyle on Joe Rogan’s podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, where he admitted he had overhauled his diet, focusing on high-protein, fruits and vegetables, plenty of water with electrolytes, and intermittent fasting.
The strong dietary choices make a stark contrast to Trump’s, who enjoys a daily diet consisting of bacon and eggs, meatloaf, and Diet Coke. Speaking further on his decision to change his lifestyle and diet Kid Rock told This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von, “You know for people who like what I do are in and around my age especially like it’s f—— time everyone, it’s time to get our s— together, get healthy like, you know, you can’t just run around doing what I was doing for the last 20 years forever and not expect some major consequences.”
It’s generally thought that Kid Rock spent five years transitioning his diet and embarking upon his “hardcore health journey.” He shared a photo on Facebook where he showcased his trim physique and toned arms while swinging a golf club and wrote, “HARD WORK PAYS!!… and if you have been thinking about doing the same, NOW IS THE TIME!!”
However, President Trump still has one big advantage when it comes to his health, in that he completely abstains from alcohol. kid Rock is instead an avid beer drinker. He told Rogan, “I like to drink my beer. I drink some beer. I enjoy that and I’m not f—— stopping.”
Dr. Pamela M. Peeke spoke on binge drinking, which Kid Rock seemingly alluded to doing one night a week, and the harsh effects it can have on health for everyone, including those who live active lifestyles and eat healthily, during an appearance on celebrity.land in March 2015. She said, “Drinking presses ‘pause’ on your metabolism, shoves away the other calories, and says, ‘Break me down first!'”
She then stressed that binge drinking just one day a week after abstaining for several days is “the worst thing you can possibly do for your weight. It has a much bigger effect than one drink a day.”
