The Foo Fighters appear to be preparing to announce their 12th album and have updated their website to include 11 previews of unreleased music for fans to listen to.

Foo Fighters seem to be making good on their promise of new music coming soon, as the band have posted snippets of new songs on their website.

It’s been almost three years since the famous rock group released their previous album, But Here We Are, and only in recent months has frontman Dave Grohl confirmed that the new album is finished.

A few weeks ago, Grohl would reiterate this during a show in Tasmania, Australia, saying, “We might have a whole new record of f*****g songs that we finished the other day.” Now, fans can finally get their ears around the new music.

If you head over to the Foo Fighters’ website now, you’ll be met with an interactive image of a fan’s bedroom, littered with posters and photos of the group. Upon clicking on one of the images, you’ll get to hear snippets of new music on what seems to be a new album.

The band would also share a post on Instagram of the same image, directing fans to the website along with the caption, “Consider this an evaluation”.

As of writing, there are 11 total previews fans can check out. On the far left of the image, you can click a photo of Grohl, which will load a portion of a song featuring the frontman’s screaming vocals, drowned in reverb, over a twangy guitar.

Another photo on the site shows new drummer Ilan Rubin in the studio, and after clicking, you’ll hear a brighter track with an earworm of a melody.

The photo of Rubin in the studio marks a shakeup for the Fighters this time around. Despite new touring drummer Josh Freese joining the band in 2023, Grohl himself would record all of the drums on But Here We Are.

Freese would be suddenly fired from the band in May 2025, with Rubin announced as his replacement two months later.

Earlier this week, Freese shared new comments about his time with the band in an interview with Modern Drummer. “They were generous and good to me… and that makes the whole thing even more of a mystery,” Freese shared.

“I think I’m a pretty good read on people, and I did not see that coming. One day it was nothing but laughs, we’re on stage and Dave’s looking at me every night like, ‘You’re killing it, dude!!!’ And then it was just – over.”

Still, fans have plenty to look forward to this time around. But We’re Still Here was a surprising career statement from the band, which proved they had plenty left to say. With the 12th album supposedly on the horizon, it’ll be interesting to see what Rubin brings to the Fighters’ sound and if they have a few surprise hits left in them.
