No, it’s not 1976.

Santana just announced his co-headlining ‘Oneness Tour’ with The Doobie Brothers that will send the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame groups to stadiums, art centers, amphitheaters and bowls all over North America from June through August.

Midway through the run, the pair have four New Jersey and New York stops in the books. They’re scheduled to take place at:

PNC Bank Arts Center
Holmdel, NJ
Saturday, June 27

Saratoga Performing Arts Center
Saratoga Springs, NY
Wednesday, July 1

Jones Beach Theater
Wantagh, NY
Thursday, July 2

“This will be a glorious experience of sharing light, love and music at the highest vibration,” Santana, 78, told USA Today. “Together, we’re going to lift people up, celebrate unity and make every night unforgettable.”

As fans may recall, this upcoming summer outing won’t be the first time the classic rockers have performed together. According to Set List FM, they last shared a stage in 2019 on the ‘Supernatural Now Tour.’

On that run, Santana typically performed 22 songs per night including smash hits “Smooth,” “Maria Maria,” “Evil Ways” “Black Magic Woman” and “Oye cómo va” among others while The Doobie Brothers kept things tight with their 15-track opening sets.

Still, they found time to bust out timeless classics like “Takin’ It to the Streets,” “Jesus Is Just Alright,” “China Grove,” “Black Water” and “Listen To The Music.”

Prior to the summer trek, Santana has a number of solo concerts — eight are slated for Las Vegas’ House of Blues as part of his ongoing residency — lined up all over North America from March through May.

“…Santana didn’t need to dominate with guitar showmanship to make his two-hour-plus concert fly without any lag in energy and spirit,” ArtFuse wrote about an August 2023 concert.

Tickets officially go on sale to the general public on Friday, Feb. 20 at 10 am local time through Ticketmaster but are available now on trusted secondary market sites like StubHub and Vivid Seats.

Doobie Brothers set list

When you have as many beloved hits as The Doobie Brothers — personally, we can’t get enough of the upbeat 1974 classic “Black Water” — constructing a set list ain’t easy.

However, it appears the band has settled on one they like quite a bit that pays homage to their impressive back catalog.

Take a look below to see what the band played at most shows on their 2022 tour.

01.) “Nobody”

Carlos Santana new music

On March 28, 2025, Santana released their 27th studio album “Sentient.”

Featuring high-profile guests like Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Smokey Robinson and others, the 11-track record effortlessly traverses genre from blues to Hip-Hop to straightforward rock n’ roll.

The proceedings get underway with the sonically-pleasing “Let The Guitar Play” that weds expert longneck solos with and DMC’s unflappable flow. To call the song a jam is an understatement.

From there, highlights include the group’s laid-back take on Michael Jackson’s “Whatever Happens” that includes his vocals (yes, really), the chilled-out, sultry Smokey Robinson-fronted “Please Don’t Take Your Love” and dreamy standard “Get On” that has a bit of Miles Davis thrown in for good measure (once again, yes, really).

Still, our favorite tune here has to be Carlos’ swaggering collaboration “Coherence” with his wife Cindy. Self-assured, lively and soaring, the song is a reminder of how vital Santana remains since the group’s ’69 debut.

Want to give the record a spin? You can find “Sentient” here.

Doobie Brothers new music

“Walk This Road,” The Doobie Brothers’ 16th studio album hit shelves on June 6, 2025.

Things kick off with the boisterous title track “Walk This Road” featuring Mavis Staples that serves as an excellent platform for McDonald to dust off his trademark soaring vocals. It’s a feel-good duet that sets the tone for what will likely be an upbeat album perfect for cookouts and road trips.

After that, The Doobies deliver the fiddle-heavy bop “Angels & Mercy” that straddles the line between rock, bluegrass and country. Somehow, the tune works even if the song is quite a departure from their ’70s sound.

The mellow “Call Me” also bucks the group’s aesthetic for something entirely different. In fact, in an alternate world, we believe this one would have been a huge ’90s radio hit. The friendly jam sounds more Third Eye Blind/Barenaked Ladies/Goo Goo Dolls than Doobie Brothers and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Other highlights here include the mellow yet bluesy “Learn To Let Go,” endlessly catchy “Here To Stay,” and jaunty, Dr. John-esque epic “The Kind That Lasts.” On the whole, “Walk This Road” appears to be The Doobie Brothers’ attempt to dabble in a number of aesthetics they haven’t taken out for a test ride yet.

Finally, “Walk This Road” closes with the Doobies bringing in Mick Fleetwood, Jake Shimabukuro and Henry Kapono for the trippy, tropical “Lahaina.” There’s a hint of melancholy and longing here from the band, which is a welcome change of pace from their oft-sunny tunes.

To hear for yourself, you can listen to “Walk This Road” here.
