Lara Trump, President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, shared a heartfelt message on social media expressing her sorrow over a significant family loss.
On Wednesday, February 18, Lara, who is married to Trump‘s son, Eric, posted a moving tribute on Instagram announcing the passing of her cherished pet, Charlie. Alongside a series of photos, the 43-year-old penned a heartfelt dedication to the family’s beloved canine.
She wrote, “A piece of my heart broke today that will never heal. Charlie was my first baby – the world’s best snuggler, a world-class hotdog and turkey leg stealer, a constant for 15 years of our lives – through numerous homes, different jobs, two kids, 3 elections, good times, bad times, and everything in between.” This comes after Lara launched into a tirade over Bruce Springsteen’s anti-ICE song.
In her tribute to Charlie, Lara continued, “Thank you for choosing us as your family. We loved you with everything we had for every moment we had you. There will never be another one like you, Cornchips,” she continued.
The photo collection featured Charlie, a beagle, alongside Lara, her husband Eric Trump, their children, and other pets. Followers quickly responded to the post, offering their condolences to Lara for her loss.

The sad announcement follows Lara’s recent revelation that President Trump has allegedly prepared a speech concerning extraterrestrial life, spacecraft, and similar subjects.
Speaking on the New York Post’s Pod Force One, Lara said the president is waiting for the right opportunity to deliver the supposed speech.
During the episode, the Fox News host mentioned that the president remained elusive when she and Eric Trump asked about UFOs and aliens.
“We’ve kind of asked my father-in-law about this… we all want to know about the UFOs… and he played a little coy with us,” Lara said.
“I’ve heard kind of around, I think my father-in-law has actually said it, that there is some speech that he has, that I guess at the right time, I don’t know when the right time is, he’s going to break out and talk about, and it has to do with maybe some sort of extraterrestrial life.”
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt commented Wednesday, February 18, that a speech on aliens was “news” to her but acknowledged that it would be highly intriguing and generate significant attention.
“I’ll have to check in with our speech writing team,” she said. “That would be of great interest to me personally, and I’m sure all of you in this room and apparently former President Obama, too.”
Over the weekend, the former president made history as the first U.S. leader to openly acknowledge his belief in extraterrestrial life.
However, Obama also debunked enduring conspiracy theories claiming the Nevada location is concealing aliens.
“They’re real, but I haven’t seen them – and they’re not being kept in Area 51,” Obama stated during an interview with Brian Tyler Cohen.
“There’s no underground facility, unless there’s some enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States.”
