While this is likely to be one of the worst days in the former prince’s life, it will no doubt also have an impact on other members of the Royal Family, with the worst impact expected to be on his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
His arrest is also likely to have upset his ex wife Sarah Ferguson, who may not even currently be in the UK. While Beatrice, Eugenie and Sarah have not commented on the day’s events, it is believed that they will no doubt be very upset by the ongoing scandals and Andrew’s arrest.
Although this may be the case for Andrew’s immediate family, it could also be said that some royals could actually see some form of victory from the former prince’s downfall.
This includes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who since quitting royal life in 2020 have not been the most popular among royal fans. However, with Andrew now hitting this new low and getting arrested, any negative spotlight that was on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex recedes slightly.

Two other royals whose reaction over Andrew’s arrest may be complex are Prince William and his wife Princess Catherine.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has always denied any wrongdoing and accusations against him.
Police said in an update on Thursday evening: “Thames Valley Police is able to provide an update in relation to an investigation into the offence of misconduct in public office. On Thursday (19/2) we arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
“The arrested man has now been released under investigation. We can also confirm that our searches in Norfolk have now concluded.”
