ROYAL PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A nurse at a Royal Palm Beach surgical center was arrested Saturday for allegedly sexually assaulting two patients, and deputies warn there could be more victims.
Officers with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office say that after receiving two complaints, detectives launched an investigation into allegations of sexual battery involving two female patients at Palms Wellington Surgical Center.
According to investigators, the alleged incidents were committed by 34-year-old Joel Vega, 34, a recovery room nurse at the surgical center located in the 400 block of North State Road 7 in Royal Palm Beach.

Following what deputies described as a thorough investigation, detectives established probable cause, and on Saturday, Vega was arrested on sexual battery charges related to the two victims.
Detectives say they believe there may be more victims.
