Country artist THOMASON is stepping into a new chapter with the announcement of his debut ‘White Van’ EP, arriving April 17. The four-song collection marks the first release under his given last name and represents the most personal work yet from the artist formerly known as Trey Lewis. Rooted in redemption, reflection and nearly two decades of sobriety, ‘White Van’ captures a journey defined less by perfection and more by growth — offering listeners an honest look at the road between past struggles and present purpose.

The EP’s title carries powerful personal significance. Years before a white van became a symbol of life on tour, Thomason drove one for a treatment centre in his Alabama hometown during the early days of his sobriety, transporting patients to recovery meetings. The experience shaped his commitment to service and accountability, grounding him during a pivotal season of change. Later, another white van would carry him across state lines as he pursued a full-time career in music, linking his recovery story directly to the dream he continues to chase today.

Speaking about the project, Thomason describes ‘White Van’ as both a personal statement and a legacy piece. “I’m the last of my bloodline and it’s important to me that I share my story,” he explains. “These four songs are a true reflection of who I am, where I come from, my name, my home and my roots. I’ve always wanted to create music that my family would be proud of. These are the kind of songs I came to Nashville to write.”

Fans received an early glimpse of the project with lead single ‘Hill I’d Die On,’ co-written with Davis Corley. The reflective track leans into themes of home, family and simplicity, reinforcing the EP’s central message — that success ultimately means little without strong roots and the people waiting at the end of the road.

WHITE VAN EP — Track List

  1. Hill I’d Die On (Trey Lewis/Thomason, Davis Corley)
  2. Almost Kings (Trey Lewis/Thomason, Matt McKinney)
  3. Family Name (Trey Lewis/Thomason, Davis Corley, Cass Jones)
  4. White Van (Trey Lewis/Thomason, Nate Kenyon, Faren Rachels)

With White Van, Thomason introduces not just a new body of work, but a renewed artistic identity — one shaped by hard-earned perspective, faith and the belief that every mile travelled still leads forward.
