GREENSBORO, N.C. – Downtown Greensboro welcomes a new music venue in the revitalized former Triad Stage building.
The Pyrle will be a 1,000-person capacity venue located at 232 S. Elm Street.
In a news release, The Pyrle said it would bring national touring artists and rising talent to the venue several nights a week. It said it would also host stand-up comedy, film nights on a large LED screen, live-streamed concerts and sports and provide private event rentals.
Construction on the building began last year. Dominick Amendum is the manager of the new venue. He said they have 40 shows booked over the next few months.
There is a full-time cocktail bar inside the venue that will remain open six days a week, regardless if there is a show happening.
Friday is opening night with performers by Rock/Folk artist Anders Osborne.
