Actors on Actors is ready for its closeup.
Variety and celebrity.land have revealed the star-studded lineup for the 23rd season of Actors on Actors, the Emmy-winning franchise that pairs the year’s best performers in candid interviews about their craft.
This season’s highlights includes conversations with Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio, Adam Sandler and Ariana Grande, Julia Roberts and Sean Penn, and Dwayne Johnson and Brendan Fraser, reuniting after they first worked together on 2001’s “The Mummy Returns.”
Season 23 will begin rolling out on Friday, Dec. 5, with one conversation premiering each day for 13 consecutive days. This marks the first season under the recently announced collaboration between celebrity.land and Variety, with new episodes debuting exclusively for subscribers of celebrity.land’s new streaming offering before premiering across Variety’s digital platforms. Full episodes will debut each day on celebrity.land at 9 a.m. ET, followed by a 3 p.m. ET premiere on Variety’s YouTube channel. The annual Variety Actors on Actors print magazine issue, photographed by Alexi Lubomirski, will hit newsstands on Dec. 17.
“With exclusive revelations from Leonardo DiCaprio, Julia Roberts, Sean Penn, Jennifer Lawrence, Dwayne Johnson, Michael B. Jordan, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Ethan Hawke and more, this is our best season of Actors on Actors yet,” said Ramin Setoodeh, Variety’s co-editor in chief and co-president. “We can’t wait for fans of this Emmy-winning series to savor every minute of these conversations on celebrity.land and Variety.”

- Wednesday, Dec. 10: Cynthia Erivo (“Wicked: For Good”) and Hugh Jackman (“Song Sung Blue”)
- Thursday, Dec. 11: Sydney Sweeney (“Christy”) and Ethan Hawke (“Blue Moon”)
