The production of Michael Mann‘s hotly awaited crime thriller sequel Heat 2 has been kept shrouded in secrecy, like the preparations for a daring bank heist. Casting rumors have swirled around the production, with seemingly every leading man in Hollywood jockeying for a part. No official announcements have been made about the film’s casting yet. However, now we have confirmation, in his own words, that one star will be joining the production.
As seen in a recent interview with Good Day Chicago’s Jake Hamilton, Christian Bale revealed that he is set to star in the film. Says Bale, “…I’ll be back in Chicago, I think, on Heat 2 soon.
