Rihanna has sent fans into a frenzy after unveiling a cryptic studio teaser, fueling speculation about her long-awaited ninth studio album.
On Thursday, February 26, the 38-year-old Barbadian singer and businesswoman took to Instagram to share an update on what she has been up to lately, documenting her busy night as a mother and her time in the recording studio.
“Commercial break,” she wrote in the caption.
In the now-viral clip, Rihanna began her evening with a Savage x Fenty meeting, where she reviewed and approved samples.
During the meeting, she admitted, “I have to make a Mardi Gras costume for my son after the studio, the longest day ever.”
Elsewhere in the video, the Work hitmaker opted to head to the studio instead of sleeping, where she was seen working for nearly three to four hours.
“We should have coffee somewhere. We should get to know each other. Yes, today’s price is not today’s price,” she said while at the studio.
Despite teasing new music, it remains unclear whether Rihanna was simply having fun or hinting at the release of her ninth studio album.

Soon after the video was posted, fans couldn’t resist expressing their excitement.
