“Mom, thank you for driving me back and forth to New York when we didn’t have enough money to go through the Holland Tunnel,” Michael said in a clip posted on Instagram. “When we were looking for gas money, parking spaces, you know what I’m saying? When I went up there for auditions—thank you.”

Naturally, seeing the sweet way Michael paid tribute to his mom had fans emotional.

“I love how he brings his mom to every award show 🥹,” one person wrote in the comments. “I watched this live and couldn’t contain my joy. You deserve all of it Michael, and God bless your mom,” another penned. “Class act ❤️ congratulations 🎉,” a different follower added.
