First on the agenda: albums.
After all the hype, the waiting, the anticipation that has been building and building, Harry Styles will finally reveal Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. to the world. Harry’s fourth solo record, the project will be looking to secure a third Number 1 alongside his self-titled debut in 2017 and the most recent Harry’s House in 2022.
In between the album announcement and its release, Harry has clinched a chart-topping single with Aperture, revealed a blockbuster tour, performed at the BRIT Awards; we could go on and on. But, we will let the music do the talking tomorrow.
Another huge release comes in the form of War Child’s HELP(2). The follow-up to HELP, released in 1995, the album contains some incredible features including Cameron Winter, Olivia Rodrigo, Wet Leg as well as already released singles from the likes of the Arctic Monkeys, Wolf Alice, Damon Albarn, Pulp and more. Proceeds from the record will go towards supporting children affected by worldwide conflict, which in this current climate is absolutely crucial.
Former Smiths frontman Morrisey returns with his latest cut, Make-up is a Lie. It will be his first outing since 2020’s I Am Not a Dog on a Chain and could add an impressive 16th Top 10 hit to his repertoire.
North London native ELIZA will drop her most fiercely human record yet, The Darkening Green.
The nine-track collection expands her earthy R&B soundscape and explores the complexity of being human in a hardening modern culture, with the artist stating: “This album explores themes of concrete, capitalism, greed, connection through the smoke, the inevitability of nature, rejecting attempts to order nature and separate ourselves from it.”
GRAMMY nominated Ayra Starr embarks on a new era with Where Do We Go, as she navigates the vagaries of a burgeoning romance through her poignant Afro-electronic style.
Other major releases see American soul duo Gnarls Barkley back in the frame with Atlanta, Bright Light Bright Light on Duets, Shabaka‘s Of The Earth and The Scythe’s Strictly 4 The Skythe all out.
Now, it’s time for singles.
And we are counting down the minutes until United Kingdom’s Eurovision entry LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER unleashes the track that will try and take the UK to the very top titled, Eins, Zwei, Drei.
The 36-year-old, real name Sam Battle based in Kent, will try to lead the UK to European glory for the first time since 1997. The track has already been teased on Battle’s social media. Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 will be the first broadcast to radio play the entry, so stay tuned!
Seven-piece boyband December 10 will look to break hearts with their second single, Angel. Debuted at their recent sold-out live shows, Angel is a warm, intimate and melody-led ballad that leans into the dizzy rush of falling hard.
The lads said: “We are so excited for our second single to be out in the world. Felt mind-blowing on tour to see everyone singing it back to us from when we teased it online!!”
Manchester duo Dirty Blonde – aka Ailis MacKay and Hayley Tait throw it back to the Indie Sleaze years with their latest track.
