We are also seeing lots of stripes in earth tones, predominantly in wallcoverings, bedding, and cushions.’
He advises integrating the 2026 interior design trend through small splashes to start. This advice is replicated in the rug and headboard in Eva Mendes’s space. Karl recommends: ‘Introduce these colors through accent walls, upholstered chairs, even painted woodwork. Pair them with natural finishes like oak, linen, and clay to maintain calm energy, and always balance deep colours with warm lighting to keep the space inviting every season.’

Brown leather, boucle chairs, or walnut cabinetry introduce depth without repainting an entire room. Use deep rich burgundy and plum tones in rooms that have less light and make a statement, use contrasting artwork and accessories to add another layer.’
