Seems like a new screen version of “Pride and Prejudice” comes around every couple of decades or so, right? The latest one looks promising: Adapted from Jane Austen’s novel by British author Dolly Alderton (“Good Material,” “Everything I Know About Love”), it’s a planned six-episode Netflix series, starring Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet, Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy, and Olivia Colman as Mrs. Bennet. Charlotte Walter (“Their Finest,” “Paddington in Peru”) designed the costumes, which look like classic, elegant Regency-era garb: high-waisted, flowing gowns and coats, modestly filled-in necklines, ribboned bonnets. The series, bonnets and all, will arrive on Netflix in the fall.
