China Box Office: ‘Pegasus 3’ Cruises Toward $600 Million

Racing-comedy “Pegasus 3” maintained its dominant lead at the China box office during the March 6–8 weekend, earning RMB168.9 million ($23.8 million) in its third full weekend of release, according to data from Artisan Gateway.

Produced by Pmf Pictures, the film has now reached a cumulative total of $578.7 million since its debut. Directed by Han Han and starring Shen Teng, the story follows veteran racer Zhang Chi as he leads an underdog national team into the international Muchen 100 Rally.

Martial arts epic “Blades of the Guardians” secured the second spot for the weekend, taking in $11.4 million and pushing its total to $180.4 million.
