It’s almost time for the 53rd annual St. Patrick’s Parade in Louisville’s Highlands neighborhood.
The annual parade, hosted by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, will be held this year on Saturday, March 14. The parade will begin at Baxter and Broadway, continue on Baxter to Bardstown Road and will end at Windsor Place.
The parade passes through what’s known as “The Irish Triangle,” which includes O’Shea’s Irish Pub at 956 Baxter Ave., Molly Malone’s Irish Pub at 933 Baxter Ave., and Flanagan’s Ale House at 934 Baxter Ave.

The following roads will be closed for the 2026 parade 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Broadway from Barret to Baxter Ave.
- Rubel Ave. from Benton Ave. to Rogers Street
- St. Anthony Place from Mercy Way to Broadway
- Payne St. from Bishop St. to West Alley (west of Baxter Ave.)
- Hull St. from Bishop St. to West Alley (west of Baxter Ave.)
- Rogers St. from Bishop St. to West Alley (west of Baxter Ave.)
- Baxter Ave. from Barret Ave. to Highland Ave.
- Baxter Ave. from Highland Ave. to Hepburn Ave.
- Bardstown Road from Highland Ave. to Midland Ave.
- East Breckenridge St. from West Alley (west of Baxter Ave.) to Baxter Ave.
- Christy Ave. from West Alley (west of Baxter Ave.) to Baxter Ave.
- Morton Ave. from West Alley (west of Baxter Ave.) to Baxter Ave.
- Highland Ave. from West Alley (west of Baxter Ave.) to East Alley (east of Baxter Ave.)
- Grinstead Drive from Baxter Ave. to Cherokee Road
- Cherokee Road will have one lane of traffic northbound, diverted to Payne St.
Alternative routes:
- Cherokee Road will have northbound traffic to Payne St. which will allow access to Lexington Road to continue to downtown on the east side of the parade route.
- Barret Ave. on the west side of the parade route will not be affected and traffic will flow normally with no restrictions.
- Baxter Ave. will have access to Hepburn Avenue on the west side of the route.
