As Laredo heads into Spring Break, the city is offering a variety of events for residents looking for family-friendly fun or activities that match their interests.
Whether you’re searching for something educational for the kids or simply looking to enjoy the outdoors with the community, here are five things to do in Laredo this week to welcome the start of spring.
Kite Fest & Concert in the Park
Wednesday, noon-10 p.m., North Central Park, 700 E. Del Mar Blvd.
Laredo residents are invited to kick off Spring Break by flying kites at this annual event that fills North Central Park with color and activity. In addition to kite flying and local food vendors, attendees can take part in the inaugural Kite Competition and a new Talent Stage where residents can showcase their creativity.
Thursday, 10 a.m., Lake Casa Blanca State Park, 5012 Bob Bullock Loop
Young anglers can join a park ranger to learn the basics of fishing, including how to cast a line, tie knots and understand catch and weight limits. After the lesson, participants will have the chance to practice their new skills at the lake.
Spring Break Bash at Rodeo Dental

Families can celebrate Spring Break with activities and giveaways during Rodeo Dental’s special Spring Break Bash.

The Imaginarium of South Texas will open its doors for a free evening of family-friendly activities featuring crafts, hands-on exhibits and interactive play for children of all ages.
Hooligan Ride to Tacos Los Gordos
Thursday, 7 p.m., Laredo Harley-Davidson, 418 Crossroads St.
Laredo Harley-Davidson will host its monthly group ride, inviting bikers to cruise together to Tacos Los Gordos for food, drinks and community fellowship. The ride is free and open to all motorcycle riders.
