After technical difficulties grounded the drones in 2025, a successful drone show lit up the sky over the Bay by SF’s Embarcadero in celebration of the Year of the Horse.
500 drones did indeed fly Saturday night, sponsored by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and if you braved the crowds and made it down to the Embarcadero around 8 pm then you saw it with your own eyes.
Below, see ABC 7’s footage of the Year of the Horse-themed drone show, which happened in lieu of fireworks — but there were plenty of unofficial fireworks all over to ring in the Lunar New Year.
