Television presenter Davina McCall often finds herself mistaken for fellow presenter Claudia Winkleman, leading her to joke about dressing as The Traitors host for Comic Relief.
She recalled a recent encounter where two girls asked for a photo, one whispering, “She doesn’t know who you are,” and adding, “My mum loves The Traitors.” McCall joked, “I tell you what I should do on the night (of Comic Relief), I should come dressed as Claudia,” noting the confusion is mutual.
McCall, 58, will also co-host “Comic Relief: Funny For Money” alongside Catherine Tate’s “Nan.” Admitting to being “mildly terrified of Nan,” she anticipates a challenge in curbing the character’s notorious language.
“How I’m going to stop her from swearing, I just don’t know,” she said, adding, “Obviously, ‘please do not swear’ was my catchphrase – so I’m going to have to stay on my toes.”

The star-studded evening will also feature comedians Katherine Ryan, Nick Mohammed, and Joel Dommett as co-presenters. Romesh Ranganathan will front a Comic Relief rendition of The Weakest Link, while Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary are slated to appear in a bank heist sketch.
The annual fundraising drive sees stars across the BBC “do something funny for money,” including Radio 1 DJ Greg James, undertaking a 1,000km tandem cycle. Ahead of the main event, The One Show on Thursday will offer sneak peeks, and Friday’s Blue Peter episode transforms into “Red Peter.”
A compilation of past performances, “Comic Relief’s Hits And Hidden Gems At The BBC,” featuring acts from John Legend to the Spice Girls, will air on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two on Saturday.
