Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Entertainment March 10 announced the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc, Blu-ray and DVD release on April 7 of sci-fi actioner Mercy, starring Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson.
Mercy, which generated $54.3 million at the global office, including $24.4 million across North American screens, follows Detective Chris Raven (Pratt), who stands accused of murdering his wife. On trial before the advanced A.I. Judge (Ferguson) he once championed, he has just 90 minutes to convince it that he’s innocent and stave off execution.
Directed by Timur Bekmambetov, Mercy uses the near-future reality of linked screens and voyeuristic cameras to great effect. Detective Raven is not just fighting against the judge – he’s fighting against a surveillance state that has already seen and recorded everything he’s ever done.
The movie was released across digital retail channels on Feb. 17.
