Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson aren’t the only ones getting iced out by the royal family.
According to a new Daily Mail report, their daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have not only been banned from attending this year’s Royal Ascot, but Prince William is also said to have advised other royals not to appear in photographs alongside them for the rest of the year.
“Being frozen out … really drove the message home that they’re no longer welcome in the inner circle,” a source tells Examiner. “There have been whispers that William had turned on them and that proved it.”
As Examiner previously reported, Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, have distanced themselves from their scandal-plagued parents, both 66, in order to save their precarious position within the royal family.
“They’ve worked so hard to stay loyal and keep their heads down and have shown their allegiance to William and the crown so many times,” says the source. “But suddenly, they’re being treated like liabilities.”

Princess Kate may have played a hand in the York sisters’ change of fate.
“There has been tension between her and the girls for some time,” hints the source, adding that it’s not hard for Beatrice and Eugenie to believe that Kate, 44, would have pushed William, 43, to turn on them.
“They feel totally hung out to dry but they’re also not ready to just give up,” the source insists. “They are still blood relations to the family line and they’ve begged King Charles III to show some mercy. They don’t feel they deserve to be punished by association.”
That being said, “they won’t go quietly,” warns the source.
