Hans Zimmer tribute

Ukrainian orchestra Lords of the Sound performs Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Philadelphia’s Miller Theatre (www.ensembleartsphilly.org/) with a tribute to film composer Hans Zimmer. The show also will be performed March 20 in the Santander Performing Arts Center, Reading (www.santander-arena.com/).

Ensemble Arts Philly (www.ensembleartsphilly.org/) presents:

Renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma joins conductor Cristian Mӑcelaru, Interlochen Arts Academy students and members of The Philadelphia Orchestra for a performance Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Marian Anderson Hall at the Kimmel Center. The program includes Reena Esmail’s “RE|member,” a reimagined Ives Symphony No. 4 and a new cello concerto by Wynton Marsalis — plus elements created by students from all seven of the academy’s artistic disciplines.

Reading Symphony Orchestra

Music Director Andrew Constantine conducts the Reading Symphony Orchestra, soloist Megan Amos and the RSO Junior Strings Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Santander Performing Arts Center. The program includes Mozart’s Symphony No. 29 and Horn Concerto No. 2/3/4 and Haydn’s Symphony No. 101, The Clock. Learn more at readingsymphony.org/.

Philadelphia Orchestra

The Philadelphia Orchestra (philorch.ensembleartsphilly.org/) is joined by soloist Marc-Andre Hamelin in a performance of Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2 Thursday at 7:30 and Saturday at 8 p.m. in Marian Anderson Hall at the Kimmel Center. Music Director Yannick Nezet-Seguin conducts. Rounding out the program are Weber’s Overture to Der Freischutz and Beach’s Symphony in E minor (“Gaelic”).

On Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in Anderson Hall, the orchestra presents Britten’s “The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra” as part of the Family Discovery Series. Naomi Woo conducts, with Michael Boudewyns and Sara Valentine narrating. Starting at 10 a.m., early arrivers can enjoy crafts, the photo booth and a performance on the Plaza Stage by the students of the All City Orchestra and Jazz Fellowship program.

Reading’s Santander Arena and Santander Performing Arts Center (www.santander-arena.com/) present the following shows:

Blue Man Group Thursday at 7:30 in the arena; Perreoland featuring Chencho Corleone, Nengo Flow & Don Chezina on Friday at 8 p.m. in the arena; singer-songwriter Leanna Crawford with Riley Clemmons and Madison Watkins on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in the performing arts center.

Dance festival

JCWK Dance Lab presents the inaugural Greater Reading Area Dance Exchange (GRADE) Festival Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 4 at Alvernia University’s Francis Hall Theatre in Reading.. For tickets and more information visit jcwkdancelab.org/gradefestival.

Art in Pottstown

Reading shows

Film festival
