Whether you’re joining a party at your favorite bar, participating in the downtown pub crawl or taking your kids out for some leprechaun-themed fun, Fond du Lac offers plenty of activities around the holiday.
Here’s what’s going on for St. Patrick’s Day.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade and pub crawl
The Downtown Fond du Lac St. Patrick’s Day Parade kicks off at 3 p.m. March 14, traveling Main Street from Rees to Second Street with floats themed around the holiday.
Following the parade, downtown bars will participate in the Pub Crawl with drink specials, Irish food, green beer, live music and more.

Local taverns host drink specials and live music
The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership and local bars urge safety and responsibility during the pub crawl and other events by designating a sober driver, planning a ride service or utilizing the Wisconsin Tavern League Safe Ride program.
Sully’s Tavern, 384 S. Main St., will open at 8:30 a.m. March 14 for breakfast and Irish coffee, then continue festivities after the parade in the heated bar tent with green beer and other drink specials, as well as giveaways and live music with Sam Cruz at 5 p.m. and Adam & Eddie at 7:30 p.m.
Corned beef and cabbage will be on the menu March 14 and 17.
18 Hands Ale Haus, 18 E. Division St., will feature $2 green beer specials and giant shamrock pretzels with cheese as Band O’Barley plays Celtic-Americana music from 8 to 11 p.m. March 14.
1836 Renegade Taproom, 103 S. Main St., will host a pop-up with The Roaming Platter and their special “Pub Crawl Survival Kit” charcuterie from 1 to 6 p.m. March 14.
At Blue Line Tavern, 88 S. Main St., live music with Whiskey Bound starts at 6 p.m. March 14 as customers enjoy corned beef and cabbage and drink specials.
Fond du Lac Beer Company, 21 Fourth Street Court, starts festivities at 10 a.m. March 14 with Irish-inspired food and drink specials. The Kiss the Leprechaun fundraiser invites customers to plant a $1 lip sticker “kiss” on the leprechaun cut-out for a photo-op that raises money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County.
Tavern on the Avenue, 725 Fond du Lac Ave., will have drink specials starting at noon March 14 and serve up Bear’s Complimentary Guinness Beef Stew, mashed potatoes and Irish soda bread from 3 p.m. until it runs out. Those who show up in Irish attire have a chance to win a prize.
Various Irish-themed cocktails are also available through March 17.
On the day itself, Irish’s Bar, 10 Western Ave., will host live music from Seth James as part of its St. Patrick’s Day party from 7 to 10:30 p.m. March 17.
La Clare Creamery hosts luncheon and brunch
For St. Patrick’s Day weekend, LaClare Creamery, W2994 County HH in Malone, will host an Irish-themed luncheon March 14 with a cheese pairing, corned beef with a side of Colcannon and roasted veggies, and chocolate Irish cream mousse, all paired with Irish whiskey and beer.
Tickets are $35 on laclarefamilycreamery.com, and limited to those age 21 and older because of the alcohol served.
On March 15, the café at the creamery will have breakfast specials until noon, featuring sandwiches, French toast, $3 Irish Sunrise cocktails and more.
The baby goats will be in leprechaun costumes all weekend. A free petting event will be open 1 to 3 p.m. March 14, and café customers on March 15 can get a ticket to the viewing room to hold them with a $10 minimum purchase.
Corned beef dinner includes fundraiser for veterans
American Legion Foxhole Bar, 500 Fond du Lac Ave., will serve its 18th annual corned beef dinner from 1 to 4 p.m. March 15.
The event will also feature live music and a basket raffle fundraiser for veterans.
Family-friendly events include pool party, play sessions
The Fond du Lac Family YMCA, 90 W. Second St., will host the Paddy’s Pool Party March 14, filling the pool with floating shamrocks, hidden pots of gold and other surprises. The event for children age 6 and younger runs from 10 to 10:45 a.m., followed by the event for ages 7 and older from 11 to 11:45 a.m.
Registration is available at ymca.org/events for $5 for members and $10 for community members.
On March 17, play stations at Wonder, 15 N. Main St., will feature a Pot of Gold treasure hunt, sensory play and rainbow crafts, all included with at least 60 minutes of play.
