ABC announced major news about its hit series, 9-1-1.
The network announced on March 5 that 9-1-1 had been renewed for season 10 and will likely air in the fall of 2026.
Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt (who plays Maddie Buckley) went on Instagram to share her thoughts on 9-1-1 returning for season 10.
It looks like we’ll be spending more time with the 118.
As fans tune in every Thursday night to watch new episodes of 9-1-1, they’re heavily invested in the lives of the Los Angeles-based first responders. After all, the show has been on the air for almost a decade, and people have developed quite an attachment to it!
On March 5, fans got the ultimate surprise. An Instagram announcement revealed that 9-1-1 had been renewed for season 10 on ABC. And if that’s not enough, Jennifer Love Hewitt(who portrays Maddie Buckley) had something to say about it with her own Instagram post.
“Season 10!!! @911onabc,” she wrote in the caption. “So grateful. So excited. Best job ever! Best TV family ever! Love to all of our 9-1-1 fans!”
As soon as Jennifer commented, her celebrity fans responded.
“Congratulations!! So happy for you! Amazing,” Lacey Chabert cheered. “Congratulations! ❤️,” Scott Wolf penned. “CONGRATS, BEAUTY ❤️,” LeAnn Rimes added.
Viewers were equally elated at the prospect of another dose of 9-1-1.
“SEASON TEEEEEENNNNN!!!!! This is so awesome!!! I’m so happy for everyone involved! 👏👏👏,” a different follower applauded.
Well, we certainly can’t wait for what’s down the pipeline for the 118, especially since season 9 is still airing on ABC! And while we’ll have to wait before season 10 likely premieres sometime in the fall of 2026, we can only hope 9-1-1 will come in blazing with some hot and heavy storylines.
