The Bloomington Bison have traded forward Mikael Robidoux to the Reading Royals in exchange for future considerations. Robidoux, 26, has two goals and eight assists for 10 points along with 135 PIMs in 45 games this season with the Bison. He is the third in the league in PIMS this season. This gives the Royals another tough body and a guy who isn’t afraid to drop the gloves in their bottom six. Reading needed to add another tough guy to their roster, seeing how they stack up against other teams in their division. To make room for Robidoux on the roster, the Royals placed forward Andrew Kurapov on waivers.

Mikael Robidoux Stats

The La Prairie, Quebec, native is in his sixth season in the ECHL as he’s spent time with the Maine Mariners, Kansas City Mavericks, Allen Americans, Greenville Swamp Rabbits, and Bloomington Bison. In 240 games, he’s put up 21 goals and 29 assists for 50 points along with 1,020 PIMs. During the 2021-22 season, Robidoux led the ECHL with 258 PIMS in 42 games. He would put up an assist along with 63 PIMs in 12 career Kelly Cup Playoff games.

Prior to going pro, Robidoux spent parts of five seasons in the QMJHL with the Québec Remparts and Shawinigan Cataractes. In 203 QMJHL games, he had 27 goals and 26 assists for 53 points; he added one assist in 12 QMJHL Playoff games.
